Long shadows fall
inside the dead forest's hall
Eerie music play
the spirit hunts its prey
Eyes of fire stare
the presence of a nightmare
Trees are dancing the witches' dance
Jack is after me, I don't stand a chance
Fingernails scratch the earth, seeking for my neck
rats and owls laugh at me, I'm a nervous wreck
A parody of life, with a pumpkin as a head
a living scarecrow, king of the undead
This is as far as I can go, I have nowhere to run
no sign of light, no sign of the sun
Dear stranger read this poem and let it burn
for tonight Jack O' Lantern shall return
